The Auxiliary of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago's 12th Annual Coat Drive for patients of the Angel Harvey Family Health Center was a huge success!! The Auxiliary, comprised of 7 Chapters, raised nearly $13,000 to purchase new coats from the Warming Project. We distributed 1,400 children's, women's, and men's coats to patients of the Angel Harvey Family Health Center in Chicago!
Our own Wheaton-Naperville Infant Welfare chapter contributed 154 new coats to the total of new coats donated. Additionally, numerous new hats, gloves, and mittens were donated.
At our November Chapter meeting, we also received donations of handmade hats, quilts, gloves, toys and sleepers from the St. Paul Lutheran Stitchers (Wheaton, IL). Additionally, The Royal Neighbors of America, a women-led Insurance Agency, donated 19 Mom Care Bags containing hand soap, hand cream, body wash, lip balm and cuticle oil along with six blankets with matching hats and three bibs. All of these donations were delivered to the Clinic.
Thank you to Paula Clair Gould and Elizabeth Haas for chairing our Chapter's Coat Drive Event this year.
Gently-used coats were collected, cleaned, and delivered to the Clinic by CD One Price Cleaners. A very BIG thank you, CD One Price Cleaners, for helping us give the gift of warmth to so many deserving families.
