Bean Soup Kits

VOLUNTEERS HARD AT WORK! 

All the supplies for 125 bean soup meals...bags of beans, cans of diced tomatoes, chili spice mix packets, and boxes of cornbread...were purchased by our Chapter, and individual bean soup meal kits were then assembled by our member volunteers at our Chapter meeting on February 6th. These bean soup meal kits will be distributed to families being serviced by the IWS Family Health Center in Chicago.

Thank you to Woodman's in Bloomingdale for generously donating the canned tomatoes for the bean soup kits! And thank you to the Danada Jewel/Osco in Wheaton for special ordering the bean soup mix that we requested! Your time and efforts in supporting our Chapter's project are so greatly appreciated.

A huge thank you to our members, Janet Parish and Rose Reid, for volunteering many hours of their time on purchasing and coordinating the assembly of the bean soup kits. Awesome job! And thank you to Nancy Lange for allowing us to assemble all of the bean soup kits at her house. Thank you to Betsy Bennett and Nancy Lange for delivering  the bean soup kits to the clinic. Additional thanks to all our members who assisted in the preparation of these much needed soup kits.
