Although Santa could not make it in person this year, we know he was at the Clinic in spirit! The Auxiliary did its best to bring a smile to the faces of the youngest patients of the Angel Harvey Family Health Center. Our nine auxiliary Chapters lovingly provided 393 "See Santa" gift bags, which the Clinic staff began handing out at the beginning of December.
Our Wheaton-Naperville Chapter was responsible for providing 35 "See Santa" gift bags for girls 5-6 years old. Three items for each girl were purchased from PINWHEEL TOYS (245 Rice Lake Square, Wheaton, IL, 60189). The owner, Lora Wright, worked with us and our budget so that we could provide each girl with a mini purse, scented lip gloss, and a scented notepad with a glitter gel pen. And thanks to our member, Pat Danly, and her daughter, Heather Pearl, each gift bag also included a paperback edition of THE BERENSTAIN BEARS NEW PUP paperback book.
HEARTFELT THANKS to to Lora Wright at Pinwheel Toys, Julie Hickey and Sharon Trockman for chairing this project, and Laura Gates-Keogh for delivering the gift bags to the clinic.
