2019 Annual Coat Drive

During the 2019 Coat Drive, 1,180 coats were distributed to the very appreciative patients of the Angel Harvey Family Health Center! During our two days of distribution, 180 families shopped for coats for their family members. Through the generous donations of our members and friends of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago's Auxiliary, we distributed 507 new coats and hundreds of new hats, gloves, and mittens.  Amazingly, 55% of the new coats were donated from our very own chapter members!

In addition to the new coat donations, CD One Price Cleaners collected, cleaned, and delivered close to 800 donated used coats to be distributed to families during the shopping days. CD One Price Cleaners has been an amazing partner for the past nine years! Thank you, thank you, thank you, CD One Price Cleaners!

Any remaining coats were donated to a homeless shelter or the Salvation Army.

Thank you to all of our Auxiliary members and friends for their donations, both new and used, and for all the volunteers who gave their time to make our annual Coat Drive a huge success! And a very big thank you to our member Mary Plepel for chairing this event!
